Christine M. Gordon

Christine M. Gordon is a founding partner of Wolpert, Vernon & Gordon. Her practice focuses on representing students, families, and individuals in education law and civil rights litigation, protecting the rights of children, and holding educational institutions accountable.

For more than 15 years, Christine has practiced special education and education law, bringing experience from both sides of educational disputes. She practiced at Timoney Knox from 2011 through 2026, where she initially represented educational institutions before dedicating her practice to advocating for students and families. She has represented clients in administrative proceedings, state and federal court litigation, and appeals involving significant legal issues affecting students with disabilities. Her work focuses on claims arising under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title IX, and other federal and state laws protecting the rights of students.

Christine represents clients throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey in matters involving special education, disability discrimination, school bullying and harassment, retaliation, school assault and abuse, sexual misconduct in schools, and other civil rights violations. Through this work, she has helped secure compensatory education, tuition reimbursement, independent educational evaluations, out-of-district placements, and other compensatory and equitable relief for students whose rights have been violated.

Christine has also handled numerous federal court appeals arising from administrative due process proceedings and has authored appellate briefs before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. She approaches every matter with meticulous preparation, persuasive legal writing, thoughtful legal analysis, and strategic advocacy.

Christine’s interest in education law began long before she became an attorney. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Emory University, where she worked for a child psychologist assisting in the preparation of evaluation reports and served as a private tutor for students with disabilities. Those experiences provided early insight into the educational and developmental challenges facing children with disabilities and their families and reinforced her commitment to advocating for students’ rights.

While at Emory, Christine was a four-year member of the University’s varsity softball team, serving as one of the team’s starting pitchers and later as team captain. She helped lead Emory to consecutive NCAA Division III Women’s College World Series appearances, where the team finished third and fourth nationally. In recognition of her academic achievement and leadership, she was named to the Dean’s List, was inducted into the Psi Chi National Honor Society and the Mortar Board National College Senior Honor Society and was selected for Emory University’s 100 Senior Honorary.

Christine went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, where she was selected for the Villanova Environmental Law Journal, held a leadership position with Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, participated in numerous pro bono legal initiatives, and volunteered with the Special Olympics.

Christine remains actively involved in organizations dedicated to serving children and families. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund, a nonprofit organization that provides financial assistance to families caring for children with serious illnesses, disabilities, and injuries, where she chairs the Governance Committee and serves on the Marketing Committee. She previously served as a Trustee of Northern Children’s Services, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing behavioral and mental health services to children and families, and formerly served on the Board of Directors of the York Hospital Auxiliary.
